Breezes Runaway Bay Resort & Golf Club at Runaway Bay boasts the only Golf Academy in Jamaica where everything you need to know about Golf is taught by a PGA certified instructor at no extra cost. You are lectured in the theory of golf, then taken on the course for the practical application.

About The Course

The SuperClubs course is a seventy-two (72) par, eighteen (18) holes championship golf course which offers an exhilarating experience for beginners and accomplished golfers alike and green fees are unlimited.

It was designed by Commander John Harris from Britain and was opened in 1960. The features of the golf course are long rolling fairways, large flat greens protected by grassy mounds and sand bunkers. It has hosted many championship events including the Ryder Cup Match between the UK and West Indies, the Jamaica Open and World Cup of Golf Super Qualifier.

The course measures 5,389 yards and is slope rated 117 from the forward trees. From the back it measures 6,870 yards and is slope rated 124. The course is well trapped, protecting it from certain errant shots and wind gusts of up to 35 mph.

We recently finished construction on our underground tunnel leading from the Runaway Bay Resort to the Superclubs Golf Club. Now you can take a golf cart ride to and from the Superclubs Golf Club without worrying about road traffic.

Golf School

The Course professional is Seymour A. Rose, former International Tour Player and currently Senior Series Tour card holder. In addition to our resident teaching staff, we have visiting teaching professionals meeting CPGA or PGA qualifications year-round. Weekly sessions cover all aspects of game swing, private lessons, on course instruction, course management skills, as well as, course etiquette.

The daily sessions at the golf school cover a separate aspect of the game daily. The structure also depends on the participation on a daily basis.

The clubhouse hours are 7am to 6pm. Last tee time for 18 holes is 2pm and 4pm for 9 holes. Tee off times are not required.

Fees

Green fees are included for guests of Breezes Resort, Spa & Golf Club – Runaway Bay.  Guests of other nearby Breezes Resorts qualify for a preferred rate.  Mandatory Caddy = $11 (9 holes), $16 (18 holes).  Club rental = $20 per set, per round. Green Fees (for non guests) = $80 (18 holes), $50 (9 holes). Cart = $23 (9 holes), $35 (18 holes).

Course Etiquette:

• Please No fivesomes
• Repair ball marks on Green
• Replace divots
• Rake Sand Bunkers
• Keep carts on Cart Paths
• Keep carts off Greens and Tees
• Allow faster players to play through

Club Rules: Ball may be dropped off carts paths and internal roads, not nearer the hole. No penalty.

Ball must be dropped two club lengths from small trees and sprinklers, not nearer the hole. No penalty.

Fences and house property lines are out of bounds.
